The award winning Classic CACI, (Computer Aided Cosmetology Instrument), has gained the reputation as the finest micro-current machine available. Backed by over twenty years of research, CACI is the best-known system within the beauty industry, and results are often so dramatic that the Classic CACI has become known as “the non-surgical face lift”.
CACI uses unique combinations of specific waveforms and ultra-low frequencies that work in harmony with the body’s own bio electrical field. These transmit tiny electrical impulses and signals that have been documented to stimulate muscle tone and enhance skin tissue. A unique biofeedback mechanism automatically adjusts the micro-current output delivered according to each client’s own bio electrical field.
Micro-current stimulation delivers tiny electrical impulses that mirror the body’s own natural bioelectrical field. In most cases, treatment is virtually sub-sensory, with just a slight electrical tingling sensation. Originally developed for treating facial palsy, micro-current therapy is now also used widely in physiotherapy for pain control and in hospitals for wound healing. As an aesthetic treatment, micro-current stimulation has been shown to have a number of other cosmetic benefits:
• Re-educates muscles • Increases microcirculation • Enhances the penetration of the active ingredients of skin care formulations • Increases the production of collagen and elastin • Increases protein synthesis, gluconeogenesis and cell membrane transport • Increases mitochondria activity, adenosine triphosphate (ATP)
At the beginning of the treatment, your therapist will prepare the skin by cleansing it. Then all 32 facial muscles are physically manipulated using soft cotton tipped wands (probes) or other attachments that transmit the micro-current impulses. The treatment is very relaxing and many people fall into a peaceful sleep.
Working a muscle from the ‘belly’ outwards will have a lengthening and relaxing effect that is necessary for the muscles that have become contracted from years of certain facial expressions. Working a muscle from the ‘origin’ and ‘insertion point’ inward will have a shortening effect that is necessary for the majority of the muscles that have become elongated over time, due to age and gravity.
Skin health is vital, but as we age our facial muscles start to move south, and areas such as the jaw line, cheekbones and brows all become affected.
Non-surgical electrical muscle stimulation is the only way to improve this in a non-invasive way. The other options are surgery and injectables.
Having regular treatments and starting from as young as 30 years of age has proven effective. These muscle lifting and tightening treatments will act as preventative treatments for the future, by educating your face muscles to remain where they are. They also help to slow down the ageing process in the muscle tissues. Enhancements to the facial muscles and contours of the face will be achieved.
CACI treatments have been loved by celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Princess Diana, Lisa Snowden and Cliff Richard.
At Tessa Stevens we use CACI successfully and always advise a course of treatments followed by monthly maintenance sessions, for optimum results. A course will normally be 12 intensive treatments, with 2-3 per week.
A full consultation is needed prior to starting to ensure you are suitable for the treatment.
