REMOVE:

Treatment begins with a thorough cleanse to clear pores of cellular buildup and impurities. A targeted exfoliation using enzymes or acids follows, boosting tissue oxygenation. Healing vitamin C is included in nearly every product to help stimulate collagen production.

REBUILD:

The signature DMK enzyme mask is the cornerstone of every treatment. It promotes oxygenation by dilating capillaries, allowing fresh oxygen and nutrients to nourish the skin. Through reverse osmosis, it flushes toxins and impurities that hinder optimal skin function. Clients typically feel the mask tighten and pulse as it works. Once removed, a visible network of capillaries—known as the Plasmatic Effect—may appear on the skin.

PROTECT:

The skin is fortified with vitamin C and other antioxidants to shield it from environmental damage.

What does Enzyme Therapy treat?

Enzyme Therapy is beneficial for all skin types and conditions. It is especially effective in addressing concerns such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, premature ageing, and sun damage.

What can I expect during the treatment?

DMK Enzyme Therapy is quite different from a traditional facial. It is specifically designed to deliver real, long-lasting results and to restore optimal skin function. While its primary goal is corrective, many clients also find it deeply relaxing.

During the treatment, an enzyme mask is applied and left on the skin for 30–45 minutes. As it dries, you’ll feel a firm, tightening sensation along with a rhythmic pulsing beneath the skin as your capillaries expand to deliver fresh oxygen and nutrients. This process creates what is known as the Plasmatic Effect—true oxygen therapy that works from the inside out.

Are there any side effects?

The Plasmatic Effect may leave visible redness that typically subsides within 20 minutes. Other side effects are uncommon but can include temporary redness, mild irritation or itching, transient hyperpigmentation, and slight swelling for up to 24 hours. Some clients may also experience light flaking, dryness, or peeling for up to 72 hours after treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

Visible improvements are often seen after just one session, but a series of 3–8 treatments is recommended for best results. Initial treatments are typically scheduled 2–4 weeks apart, then maintained every 30 days until optimal skin function is achieved. Long-term maintenance sessions can then be spaced every 6–12 weeks, tailored to your needs. Continued use of DMK home prescriptive products is essential to prolong results and maintain healthy skin. Using other brands may slow progress.

Pre-Treatment Care:

• Avoid consuming alcohol the night before and on the day of your treatment.

• We advise you drink at least 1.5 litres of water the day before and on the day of treatment to help regulate body temperature.

• Refrain from exercising immediately before or after your session to keep your body cool.

• Inform your practitioner of any medications, vitamins, or supplements you are taking.

• Avoid direct UV exposure for at least one week prior to treatment.

• Do not exfoliate (including using acids) for at least one week before your appointment.

Post-Treatment Care:

• Keep the treated area clean and dry for the remainder of the day, and avoid touching the skin.

• Avoid UV exposure for two weeks following treatment.

• Apply daily sunscreen (containing zinc oxide or titanium dioxide) with a minimum SPF of 30.

• Do not wax, thread, pluck, or use bleaching creams on the area for two weeks.

• Avoid using perfumed products.

• Do not pick or scratch the treated area.

• Avoid very hot baths or showers, steam rooms, and saunas for at least two weeks.

• Refrain from swimming in chlorinated pools for one week.

• Do not exfoliate the skin for one week.

• Avoid contact sports or rough activities for three days.

• Avoid makeup for 24 hours unless otherwise advised by your practitioner.

• Stick to products recommended by your practitioner for best results.

Suitable for clients who have previously completed a Level 1 Enzyme treatment and the necessary patch tests, it works to oxygenate, detoxify, and restore the skin so it functions like healthy, youthful skin.
