DMK Alkaline Wash

DMK Alkaline Wash Hair Removal Treatment

The DMK Alkaline Wash is an advanced, pain-free hair removal solution designed to target fine, downy, or stubborn hair that traditional methods struggle to remove. Unlike waxing or laser treatments, this gentle yet effective alkaline-based solution dissolves hair at the follicle level, leading to progressively finer and sparser regrowth over time. It is particularly effective for hormonal hair growth, vellus (peach fuzz) hair, and light-colored hairs that laser treatments cannot detect.

This treatment is suitable for most areas of the face and body and is especially beneficial for individuals with sensitive skin, PCOS-related hair growth, or those prone to ingrown hairs. In addition to hair removal, the Alkaline Wash helps smooth the skin’s texture, leaving it soft and refreshed.

Pre-Treatment Care:

To ensure optimal results and minimize any potential irritation, follow these guidelines before your DMK Alkaline Wash session:

Avoid hair removal methods such as waxing, tweezing, threading, or laser for at least 10 – 14 days before your treatment.
Discontinue use of active skincare ingredients (e.g., retinol, AHA/BHA, vitamin C, benzoyl peroxide) 48 hours before the procedure to reduce sensitivity.
Keep the area clean and free of makeup, lotions, or oils on the day of treatment.
Inform your therapist of any recent skin treatments, medications, or active skin conditions that may affect your suitability for the procedure.

Post-Treatment Care:

After your DMK Alkaline Wash, your skin may be slightly red or sensitive. Follow these aftercare instructions to support skin healing and prevent irritation:

Keep the area cool and hydrated – apply a DMK-recommended soothing moisturizer or barrier repair product.
Avoid touching or scratching the treated area to prevent irritation.
No exfoliation or active skincare ingredients for at least 48 hours post-treatment.
Avoid sun exposure and always wear SPF 30+ to protect the skin, as it may be more sensitive.
Do not wax, tweeze, or use depilatory creams in the treated area between sessions – the goal is to weaken the hair naturally.
Follow your therapist’s recommendations for follow-up treatments, as multiple sessions may be required for optimal results.

Treatment Frequency & Results

Results vary depending on hair type, growth cycles, and individual skin conditions. Most clients require a series of treatments, typically every 10 – 14 days initially, then spaced further apart as hair growth slows. With continued sessions, hair regrowth becomes finer, lighter, and less noticeable.
