Remove age spots, thread veins, diffuse redness and uneven pigmentation on the face and body with Ellipse IPL.
Benign pigmented lesions may be genetic in origin or can be caused by physical damage such as sunburn or injury, as well as by the natural effect of ageing. The lesions can vary in size and colour. It is always important to ensure that the lesion is not malignant before removing it.
A full consultation and patch test will ensure that it is safe to be treated. including pigmentation, sun damage, diffused redness, rosacea and collagen stimulation
These brown spots which are often referred to as ‘age spots’ or ‘liver spots’ can be unsightly and begin to get darker with age or once they are exposed to UV light.
Ellipse IPL is clinically proven to be safe and effective
The Ellipse IPL can be used in the treatment of sun-damaged skin, treating both vascular and pigmented aspects of the damage.
How does the Ellipse IPL treatment work?
The Ellipse IPL treatment works by directing well-controlled pulses of light into the upper skin layer. The light is absorbed by two of the body’s own natural chemicals – melanin in the pigmented areas and haemoglobin in the red blood cells.
Both of these chemicals convert the light energy into heat. This heat is used to destroy the parts of the cells in which the melanin is stored, and to damage the walls of the vessels supplying blood to the areas where vascular damage is seen. This technique is called “selective photothermolysis” (SPTL).
The visible light produced by the Ellipse IPL system is carefully controlled to produce the correct pulse length and right amount of energy to destroy the targets without damaging surrounding tissue, providing skin rejuvenation.
Photo rejuvenation is a quick and simple treatment that does not interfere with your normal daily routine, repairing sun-damage of the face, neck, chest and hands.
Ellipse Skin rejuvenation offers the best anti-aging skin treatment around. The treatment removes superficial pigmentation and diffuses redness and facial thread veins. Ellipse is widely available in over 700 clinics but also in some NHS hospitals. Typically body areas suitable for treatment are commonly the face, neck, décolleté and also the hands, but you can have any area of the body treated (bar red veins on the body).
Your therapist will advise you how to prepare and strengthen your skin prior to treatment to ensure that the condition we are treating responds well. In some cases if your skin health is poor, the therapist may advise you to change your skin care and nutrition for a minimum of 30 days prior to having the patch test or starting treatment.
The consultation fee is fully refundable against the treatment. Please ensure the area you want treated is free from all self-tan and UV sunlight for 30 days. All medication or health concerns needs to be explained to the laser operator before treatment. Be assured our staff at Tessa Stevens are experienced, professional and always happy to answer any questions you may have.
